You put a rack and stone at the highest level in your oven. Then your other rack and stone in the middle level or lower. The stone at the top will radiate the heat evenly on your pizza that’s on the middle rack. The heating element on top from your oven produces too much heat and cooks the top faster where you want the dough to cook faster.
Science!! Thank you!!

Our twelve year old has been baking again :inlove:

My brother :
  • Bought her the desert cookbook for Christmas.
  • Is 50 tomorrow.
  • Loves Terry’s chocolate orange.
She’s baked him Terry’s chocolate orange and white choc chip blondies :

I only did the cutting and they have another night in the fridge before they are boxed.

The crusts / scraps were ‘very’ good :sunglasses:

I didn't make this, but had a foodgasm when I saw it.
Soft pretzel, Rueben
11473.jpg

Ingredients

Soft Pretzels
4 Whole
Thousand Island Dressing
1 Cup
Kretschmar Baby Swiss Cheese, Sliced
1 Pound
Sauerkraut, Drained
1 Cup
Kretschmar Corned Beef, Thinly Sliced
1 Cup
Unsalted Butter, Divided
2 Tbsps.
Instructions
PLACE soft pretzels flat on work surface and cut in half across the width. Spread each cut side with Thousand Island dressing.

LAYER bottoms of pretzels with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, corned beef, and another layer of cheese.

PLACE other halves of each pretzel on top of each sandwich.

PLACE large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon butter and swirl to melt.

PLACE 2 sandwiches upside-down in pan, and cook 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is starting to melt. Flip and cook additional 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is melted. Remove from skillet and repeat with remaining butter and sandwiches.

SERVE!

Love the pickles my friend. Are they sour or sweet or what do you do to them.. Store bought are good too.

Thanks. They’re homemade from my grandma’s ice box pickle recipe. They’re sweet, so I left them off the burger. I could eat a whole jar of them alone, just don’t like sweet on the burger itself.

Beef stew tonight. Found my potatoes had gone bad too late in the game so I thew in some low carb fettuccine instead.

It came out on the sweetish side likely from too many gargantuan carrots and a little much red wine. 7/10 in the flavor department.

Someone said my beef looked burnt
