Thanks man!

It's one of the easiest methods of cooking too!

Oil the roast and season how you like. I used Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano, Salt, Paprika. Preheat the oven to 500° and put the roast in for 5 minutes per pound. This was a 6lb roast, I let it ride for 35 minutes bc I wanted it a little more done. Shut the oven off. Let it sit for 2 hours. This one sat about 2 hours and 20ish minutes.

Since it's basically already rested and mostly cooled when you take it out of the oven, you can carve it immediately.
I use that recipe all the time. It comes out perfect every time. Unfortunately, I have an electric stove right now, means I have to adjust a little bit compared to gas but it works. Delicious. Looks awesome.

Thanks man! We've got electric too but this stove works really well. You kinda have to know if it's gonna run hot or cold...I forgot to mention I have my rack lowered so that what I'm cooking is centered in the oven. I think that helps to not overcook the top on roasts, chickens or what have you.

Almost exactly how I did the roast beef last week. Same spices, but black pepper too. 500° for 25min then 375° until 125° internal temp. Pulled and tented in foil for 15min.

I need to get the temp better. Want it to be more rare. Next time I won't tent it. I used eye of round which I ususaly just use for making jerky. It's such a lean cut that it def needs a nice sauce to go with. Like a mustang and cream sauce.

Last night a made a quick Ramenesq soup. Better than Boullion base with a few other things, some vermicelli noodles, the rest of the left over roast beef, and some cabbage. Simple and done in 10min.

My Grandmother would add thick, uneven slices of cheddar cheese when she made us Vegemite sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just a block from the supermarket. Combined with homemade whole meal bread, it was the best thing in the world.

Don't rule out Kraft Singles either, works especially well when melted in the microwave too.
Your grandmother had good tastes. That's what I've been doing too. uneven slices of aged simi crumbly cheddar.

I won't ever put down Kraft Singles. They have their place! Best for grilled cheese sandwiches, best on burgers, at first an odd but amazing addition to spicy ramen. I believe that last one is more of a Korean thing. I live in a place a very large Korean population. There's like 15+ KBBQ places within 20min. Love it!

7 pound Boston Butt, into the slow cooker on high for 8 hours with olive oil for the binder, this rub, 4 cups of beef broth, a splash of apple cider vinegar and a splash of balsamic vinegar--probably a few tablespoons combined--and a handful of baby carrots. Put a whole stick of unsalted butter on the top for good measure before closing the lid.

Corn on the side and ice water with some frozen lime wedges.

The shredded pork is AMAZING without any sauce...but I sure want some buns lol!
