Why did I put all the chicken on one side and all the shrimp on the other you ask? BC since my wife is a woman, I don't know if she wants chicken or shrimp alfredo. So of course she dug in and then told me, "You could have just mixed them."

Aha, but I KNOW that's a trick, because had I REALLY mixed them........

Lmaoooooooo

She was making her lunch and digging through the leftovers...I said, "What are you doing?"

"I'm picking out the overcooked noodles from the top!"

I told her, "That's the BEST PART!!! Like the edges of a brownie!?!?!? The whole point of baking it so I could get some crispy edges!"

"EEEWWWWW, NOOOOOOO!!!!"

A traditional tomato sandwich on whole wheat, with mayo, salt, sliced red onion, and pepper. 😋

Perfect ingredients with the heel of the bread. Hell yeah!
Well, theres another word I need to add to my American / English M6G translation table ...

Hood = Bonnet
Trunk = Boot
Fender = Wing
Rocker = Sill
Headers = Manifold
Resonator = Silencer
Muffler = Silencer
Half shafts = Drive shafts
Wrench = Spanner
Gas = Petrol
Aluminum = Aluminium :giggle:
Heel = Crust ...

:crackup:

Well...the crust is the edge, whereas the heel is the end piece...or are you saying Down Under they call the end piece the crust?

Yes, the crust is the top, and also the ends :like:

The crust (if it's thick) makes great toast, or the perfect base for a Slappy ...

A Slappy (also known locally as a 'Wigan kebab'), is a pie (or pasty) on a barm cake (or bread) :

Get some barm cakes too, it the proper way to eat a pie ...

What is that? Looks good
It's a pie on a barm cake !

It's a local tradition ... lol : https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/mar/09/pie-barm-twitter-wigan-kebab

Pasty barms are good too (sometimes locally called a slappy).

Not that I do it often, but lunch today …

My misses fetched me a pie home so I put it on a seeded ciabatta as I heard those were reasonably healthy … :cwl:

Joking aside I don’t feel too bad with myself as I swam before work this morning and as I’m watching my misses swim open water later, I won’t be eating dinner to 8:30 ish - I’m hoping the pie barm will keep me going that long … lol

Finally had some free time. Frenched ribeye to a perfect medium rare. Mushroom mezzalune in Parmesan cream sauce on the side. Washed down with a local Merlot. Cantucci and a dessert wine to finish. Everything made from scratch
