Hi y'all,
First post in the forum: living in Michigan, it was time to install my winter tire/wheel package. I decided to go with a setup recommended by Tire Rack, and I'm pleased with the fit. Here are the pics and specs:
  • FlowOne Race Spec F3, Gloss Gun Metal Silver Painted
  • Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II, 255/40R19, 275/40R19(same as factory PP1)
  • Front: 19x9, 40mm offset
  • Rear: 19x10.5, 45mm offset
I also chose to weigh each wheel/tire combo using a cheap bathroom scale:
Wheel/tire together
Weight, lbs
Weight, kg
Factory Nickle Luster, front
61
27.7
FlowOne, front
50
22.7
Factory Nickle Luster, rear
64
29.1
FlowOne, rear
54
24.5

I have the same sizes with other wheels. I feel like they need a spacer in the front.

@beetle6986 there is a difference of 5mm in offset between the front factory wheels and mine/yours, so probably 5mm would be perfect. But they are not as "too tucked in" as I feared, so I'm gonna leave them be.

In my original picture, my front wheels are turned a bit. Here's a straight on shot with the wheels straight:

If you donā€™t mind, what tire size did you go with and is your car lowered? It looks lowered in pics with new wheels and Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s the larger wheels filing in the wells or you lowered it as well. Very clean looking convertible. Enjoy.

Yes, it is lowered on Steeda Progressive Springs. I went with 275/35/20 tires in front and 295/35/20 in rear. I installed the 20's before the springs because the car already sat fairly low. I've seen some coupes with a solid 4" of wheel gap. The converts must sit lower because I only had about 1.5-2" of gap before the 1" drop. As you can see from my pics, there is only about .5" of gap left, but I have absolutely zero rubbing. It is about the most perfect stance I've ever had on any of my dropped vehicles. Hope that helps.

Thank you. Exactly the information I was after. Wheel gaps definitely seem to vary. My stock height on 20 gt pp1 seems low to me and I donā€™t believe the set up to be different from say none performance package 1 cars.

I have the same issue, fitments for 2020 PP1 are not the same as others for whatever reason. I just had to warranty my PS4S tires for 30's because of rubbing using their 35's. And that is on Steeda minimal drop springs. I also found out, installing a custom audio system, the passenger kick panel breaker panel is completely different than other past years.

Yikes and I thought my 19x10s were close to the strut.
The other side is a little tighter. You have to get aggressive with offsets and camber when youā€™re sticking 11ā€ wheels up front. But those tires are small for that size wheel so I was able to get away with a smaller spacer

Where at in Maryland are you?

That's gorgeous. I want to do something like that but anodized red on my Black GT.

Thank you! And I think Iā€™ve seen something like that before, and all I can say is amazing. Once youā€™re ready and have found the right rims, donā€™t hesitate. So Worth it.
