One of the best things about being on vacation has been spending more time with my little boy.
My attempt to dry up his wet paw prints with a towel was not met with approval.........
Walkies in the bush....................
He also had a haircut this week and got a new good-boy-bone............

That's an amazing background story and he's a beautiful dog. I had a similar experience with a Belgian Shepherd (Groenendale) rescue dog, I was looking for a GS and didn't know what a Belgian was but was persuaded by the shelter to come and have a look. So glad I did, I was very fortunate indeed to have him and give him the home he deserved. Jack actually has some Belgianesque features...the fur below the ears, coat texture and THAT amazing tail. I'd take my dog for a run through a nearby field for 30 min or so, ironically about the same time it took me to pacify him enough to let me brush all the crap out of his tail. Normally he was a rag doll but go near the tail and he turned into a fidget.

Iām so sorry Mike. That is a day that I have suffered and that is a day that I dread again. Please keep giving your love to another one. You will be better for it and it will help in the process. Take care.Very sad day yesterday, I had to put Bella down as cancer ravaged her body.We did all we could for her over the past year but in the end it finally took its toll on her. She did make it to her 10th birthday last week and Iām thankful for that. Damn I miss her.

Hopefully this one gets more friendly and decides he wants to stay for a while :
He turned up in the street just over a week ago, cried a lot overnight, hangs around the houses opposite and the back field, no collar etc.
Heās been taking two packets of food off me for the last five days and is slowly warming to me, but still very nervous - he will eat at the side of me now and will sniff my hand if I hold it out.
We canāt take him in (we have two female cats) but Iām sure mum and dad could be talked into having him, they have a habit of adopting strays and lost the last one to old age about eight months ago.
