I know rear louvers are not everyone’s cup of tea. But I like the old school look they give our S550s.

Anyone else running rear louvers? :cheers:

Oh yea louvers were among the first things I bought. I knew once I was getting a mustang I would have to have louvers on it as I have always loved em on any model year.

So this is what mine looks like

And this is when I test fitted the side window louvers only to find out they wont fit because I have the pony package and the chrome window trim is fatter than the normal window trim. So I never permanently installed.

Surprised about the lack of response from fellow louver lovers. Apparently, they're as rare as hens' teeth.

I just got in my quarter window louvers the night after I dropped my car off to be fixed so they won't go on for a bit. I also realized I might not be able to make it work on the driver's side due to the gate pass I have there to get in to my grandpa's neighborhood.

How do louvers hold out if you don't have a garage? I know it depends on material type but would they hold out under summer and winter conditions? I really like the MMD one but I am quite worried about it since my area can get both hot summer and snowy winters.

I've got the aluminum ones and they're pretty durable. :cheers:

The tape holding them should last just fine, the material itself may be a bit different. If they're plastic, they should be fine as long as you're not rapidly exposing it to both extremes of temperature.

If they made aluminum ones like they did back in 1970 for the Mustang fast backs , I'd be all over a set. The ends of the slats were curved and not something that looks like it was made in an HVAC shop with a sheet metal brake.
Had really nice hinge system and latches so you could lift it up to clean underneath.
