When starting the 350, trying to select exhaust mode, The display will flash "Exhaust Mode Selection is not available", then loops to "Drive Mode Selection not available". If you press the "OK" button, the display continues in the loop to display about the above remarks.
I took the car in this morning, the service department could not replicate the problem, and no error codes were provided in their system.
Once, before returning home, the problem happened again. I didn't return to the dealer, I didn't see the point, and if there are no error codes present.....it is what it is.......just my problem. My remarks.....not the dealer.
My 350 only has a little over 400 miles, and at first I thought maybe the cold weather played a part. However, it's pushing 70 degrees today, and it's still happening.
I cannot find any information about this in the 2016 Owners Manual, or the Shelby GT350 Mustang Supplement
Has anyone experienced a situation like this, and if so, were you able to discover a correction for it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
If this should be in another section, I apologize.

Try disconnecting a battery ground for a few minutes then reconnect it. It's like rebooting a PC. May need to go to the dealer but its an easy thing to try. You will lose any personalized settings though.

From another forum:
Restart the car. The exhaust valve needs to cycle upon startup or the modes will not be available. If the problem recurs, you may have a bad valve. I had mine stick once but it resolved itself. Small rocks can also jam the mechanism.

Might be a bad valve as Falcon mentioned above; but take a picture of the message the next time it pops up as evidence for the dealer.

I've got that message before, but it was because as soon as I select a exhaust mode or drive mode I was shifting into reverse too quickly. Once I figured that out no issues.

I haven't had any problems, even if switching exhaust modes while in reverse. Before starting the car you should push clutch in and wait until fuel pump priming and exhaust cycling noises stop, then press start button. There are tons of pebbles that end up around the exhaust valves so that is a possibility. Noticed this when I dropped the rear air diffuser to install a brighter LED reverse light.
