Introducing Poseidon, my 2019 Mustang GT! I previously had a 2013 V6 which was my first new car. I loved it every minute of the 5 years I owned it. When I bought my 2013, I did look at the V8 but the price difference and my commute made the V6 the smarter choice at the time.

In September I traded in my 2013 and ordered the 2019. It was delivered early March but the temperatures were still well below freezing and snow was a regular occurrence. I've put about 160 miles on it but the temperatures are still too cold to drive it to work in the morning with the summer tires.

The wait for spring to finally arrive has been long. I had driven the 2013 through 3 winters as it was my only daily driver. So even when I stopped driving regularly it in the winter, I would park it with the winter tires on and take it out on nice days. Why not, it was already exposed to salt!

The new one is a Mustang GT, A10, 301a with PP1 and active exhaust.

The first, and only mod I've done so far, is a Sto n Sho plate mount. I wanted to install it offset, but I wasn't able to go as far as I wanted because it was hitting the "peak" of the bumper. I'll take another look sometime to see if I can move it and adjust the angle.

Finally had some nice weather this week so took it out for a run. Put about 300 miles on it. I am loving it!

One issue appeared just before getting home. When braking, just before coming to a stop, there is a grinding noise. I thought I might have had a stone caught in the brakes. I took a look and noticed a scratch all around 1 rotor so took it in to a local dealership yesterday. They did a brake inspection and say it needs a brake service. I've only got 450 miles on it, so I called the dealership I bought it from and they suggest driving it a bit, getting a few good brakings in then if it continues making the noise to bring it in to them. I'll see how the driving goes over the next few days.

And are a few more pics from the drive, even though I need to wash it.

Looks sharp! Glad the weather is getting nice enough for a drive on the summer tires. Winters in Canada are not a pleasant experience lol. Don't worry about a name, this is the first car I name, and it took me a while as well to come up with it

I'm through the break-in period and now the fun begins... and the nice cruising on the highway!

The brakes were making a grinding noise a few weeks ago but a few strong brake applications seemed to have cleared that up.

Last night I noticed my first stone chip. At least the first one is over now.

Since I bought my 2019, I've been wondering if my Laguna Seca wheels would fit it. Today I finally got around to trying them on. They fit great and I like the look more than the black PP1 wheels. Finally starting to make it my own.

To make the swap easier, I also bought a set of Steeda jacking rails. It was a great purchase.

That is a very good-looking Mustang. I agree, I've never been a real fan of the all black wheels-especially on a dark car, though they have started to grow on me a little.

Is that an aftermarket front license plate frame? It looks pretty good in that location- I live in a US state that doesn't require a front plate if there is no plate mount area, and my dealer never puts the mounts on Mustangs. I'll be moving to another state which does, and I'm looking for a better place for the plate than smack in the middle of the "face"

It is a Sto N Sho plate mount. It mounts under the front lip. On a PP1, it uses one of the existing screws and you have to drill a second hole. All necessary hardware is included. It is designed to install in the middle, but I wanted to be different.

Love the LS wheels - I thought about the same set when I first got my '15.

SMH, I re-read your posts and realized you had mentioned that! Well, the LS wheels look good, and since I'll have to get a front plate next year, that is the way I'll go, maybe even more offset. Looks way better than center mount. Thanks!

I wanted to go more offset too, but I put mine as far offset as I could using one of the factory holes like the instructions say. The next hole over and the plate hits the bumper peak.

New year, new mods! I've been going back and forth on the taillights for months but finally decided it was time for a mod. Also go the Diode Dynamics marker lights.

Earlier this summer I finally decided on a name for my Mustang. I had a few ideas bouncing around but I kept coming back to one in particular.

I'd like to introduce Poseidon! The more I looked into it, the more appropriate it seemed with Poseidon being God of: the seas (blue), earthquakes (loud exhaust) and horses (it's a Mustang!).

No major mods in mind yet, but I'm sure I can think of something!
