Blocked filter screens, or a simple oil change fixes it as well.

That will show up in the logs.

If the lazy tuners would look at a log then they could tell you what needs fixing.

Grasping at straws here. Adjusted the position of my MAF sensor as it was pointing downwards at a 45 degree angle (now it’s level). Still experiencing the same issue with any initial warm start stalling or dipping very low in RPMs before recovering. Starting again 2 seconds later has no issues.

Pretty frustrating issue. Not sure what to try next. A new CAI? New tune from a different tuner?

Just curious, how many miles do you have on your PMAS? Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor yet? I haven’t driven mine enough to be super frustrated yet, but I sure hope today’s voltage adjustment has corrected my issue.

Maybe 4K on the PMAS? I have not cleaned it. Unhooked it yesterday and didn’t see any grime or junk. May try buying some MAF cleaner though.

Possibly swap in another throttle body before switching to another CAI.
A stock throttle body or a larger size?

I need to see what my mechanic thinks about the issue. I trust him, but have yet to have him take a look at the issue.

My current TB is stock. Think it just needs to be replaced?

I’m not sure, I’d try removing it and thoroughly cleaning it, along with the MAF sensor first. If that doesn’t work, I found that link for a TB for sale to try, as GregO suggested.

Thanks. Looks like I have a weekend project for myself :like:

2015-17 (FR3Z-9E926-A)
2018-20 (JL3Z-9E929-A)
Different TB part numbers, I’m unsure of what Ford changed for the 18+ digital signal.

Running the stock maf. 15-17 are not compatible
I gotcha. Mine has gotten a little better, since I made the voltage change to allow for 10% throttle blade opening at idle or rest, but it’s still not perfect. I drove it today and it was intermittent. Going to make another change to 15% open and see if we can improve things even more on the next drive.

5% change is a lot when factoring in the TPS full voltage range of 0-5 volts.
Increments of .25% will serve you better. The good thing, you have the ability to change the values at will.
