Same here. I initially wanted to jump on one a couple weeks ago. But if I know anything about aftermarket parts, its to never buy when the part first comes out. Not that anything is wrong with these. But you have to figure every new part to the market will have certain kinks to work out. Its only normal that these things happen. Plus since they are new and there aren't many units out there, the percentage of ones that have problems will be higher now than they will be by this time next year. And I think in the next few months they'll have everything sorted out and will probably even improve on the design. So I can wait. For now I'll just keep watching and reading and seeing what's going on with them.

They've been out for over a year now. These are the final designs, and they are much different from the ones that were initially sold last year.

I put my Steeda on yesterday and left snorkle off.... IATs were REDICULOUS... ambient temp was 91 degrees on the way to Street Car Takeover on the highway.... IAT was 112... Sitting still... rediculous... 120s-130... Putting snorkle on and trying again.

Waiting to see some independant results at track etc with the PMAS before I make a move.

I don't think that is horribly bad. That sounds a bit normal. Mine on a 90 degree day were about 7-10 over while driving. At a short stop like a traffic light they would soar to about 114. At a longer stop they would go to about 120. But at 1/4 throttle acceleration they would drop within a couple seconds. At more aggressive and spirited acceleration they would drop almost instantly. They seem to be on par with my stock IATs.

Here in Louisiana, my IATs can reach 160 in stop and go traffic. It clears upon moving... but yea, these aftermarket intakes all get hot.

Yowza! Was that sitting in traffic? I would assume it cools down fast when moving?

That was idling outside of WalMart waiting for my wife lol. AC on, 97* ambient temp. It dropped to about 120-125 while driving 50-60MPH and down to 112* at WOT.

How is your cylinder head temp so low with being that hot out mine would be at like 215?

Logging our car the Cylinder Head Temp runs about 10F above Engine Coolant Temp.

CHT=215 while actual ECT=205.

Go make some passes with the steeda and the tune revision. Your jumping the gun pulling it off because of iat's moving slow over 150+ degree Tarmac/concrete.
