So I've been running 325/30-19 Pilot Sport A/S 3+ on sve-350 91x11 for about 2 years now, approx 10,000 miles.

2 miles from home the tire blew out. What's crazy is it wasn't sudden or we didn't even hear anything, just that driving it got very rough.

So just wondering if anyone has had the same issue with these tires?

First I’ve heard of it. I have the same tires in 255/35/20 on my Audi s6 and have not had any issues with them. I did quite a bit of research before I ordered and I didn’t see anything about blowout issues.

I'm running A/S 3+ on my Civic, and have no complaints. Got them from 4wheelonline last year. So far, I'm impressed with the handling and ride quality. One of the tires had a nail in the middle of the thread and a local tire shop fixed it without any problems.

So just an update: When I took it into the shop they pointed out that on the same side but opposing the blowout a bubble was starting to form. So the conclusion was that a bubble was the cause of the blowout.

So I put them on Sept '20 so between then and now it showed up and blew. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also couldnt find A/S 3+ to replace them so running the new AS4 on the rears. When did they go so expensive :'(

Really weird, did the car sit for extended time and tires lost pressure.

Very odd looking failure. I would send those photos directly to the MFR.

I drive it at least once a week. And only the front driver's side needed air. The other 3 were within 1-3 psi.

MFR?

New rims?

I have found that rim lip profile has a huge impact on tire durability.

Very rounded lip profiles don't damage the tire on impacts while narrow and squared or narrow ones are the worst.
So I bought the tires and rims at the same time.

They look pretty rounded to me but I don't know what other rim to reference
They are LMR SVE-s350 19x11

By the way what caused that scrap on the inside of the rim? Are any other of your rims showing that?

I would send the photos to the Manufacturer (Michelin) maybe try the Motorsports division, they’re probably more knowledgeable identifying failures.

Check for the brakes on that hub dragging, that looks like the bead got too hot.

Its just dirt. i ceramic coated the wheels awhile back and it accumulates like that on all the wheels.
(pp1 and these)
Its the inner lip of the wheel that catches it.

Ohhh, gotcha now. I'll check

So they got back with me this morning with a very generic "send it to a shop, give them the case number, and we'll go from there". So sent back the reply that I would do that if it wasnt two weeks ago I had this done, and then sent them more info about the situation / pictures / etc.
and now we wait.
