Looking to put some PP wheels on my Base GT and wondering how they look without being lowered. Anybody got pics? Wondering how bad I’m gonna want to lower it after.

Assuming you have a base GT with 235/50 18s, those come out to 27.3in in diameter. PP wheels with factory tire sizes are smaller up front and larger in the rear. 255/40 19 is 27in in diameter and 275/40 19 is 27.7

Also, stock PP cars are no lower than regular GTs. Should be able to find plenty of photos to tell you if that look is ok for you.

Oh, I read somewhere that the PP cars were lower than the base cars. Good to know! Thanks!

Keep in mind that the PP wheels are heavy. You can save about 8 lbs / wheel if you don't use the PPs.

The cars with MagnaRide sit slightly lower, that is true.

Did anybody have to run spacers when they put PP wheels on their Base GT's? I just had mine put on today and the front tires rubbed the strut. We had to run a ¼" spacer to make room.

Would love to hear an answer to the above. I too have a Base 2020 GT and i'm concerned with going either with the PP1 or PP2 Wheels

Hmm well my car above is a premium GT non-PP and I added the PP1 wheels to it. I don't have any problems with them.

Yeah, I didn’t think there was any differences between the PP and non-PP cars that would cause an issue with clearance.

It was very tight on mine for some reason. I was shocked, to be honest because I've NEVER read about any issues putting PP wheel on non-PP cars. Heck, I watched a YouTuber go from the stock 17" wheels right to the 19's no issue.
With me, the tires were gently grazing the strut. It was enough to abrade a sticker that is on the strut, but not enough to actually gouge the sticker. It was very strange. I wonder if it's down to tires? Maybe my Continentals bulge out more than Pirelli's or Michelin's?

could be. I put Michelin’s on my non PP car so that may be why it works.

How are you going to go about lowering it? I'm about to pull the trigger on the PP1 wheels for my 19 GT. I've pretty much resigned myself to dropping it an inch. What size tires did you go for?
