OK, the Race Red Looks Awesome without the graphics.Removed the stripes off mine a few days after taking delivery, a couple weeks ago. Posting since I haven't seen a de-striped red one yet.
FJG needs the stripes and orange highlights to look it's best.My thoughts too. I'll definitely take off the hood stripe when my car arrives and probably also the Mach 1 fender emblems. At that point I'll see how it looks. Maybe, just maybe I'll also take off the side stripes too but I'll need to see how it looks without the Mach 1 emblems first. FJG (my car on order) on its own IMO is quite a bland colour from the images i've seen - I haven't seen one in the metal - so it might need the side stripes to liven it up.
They give excellent contrasts to any of the paint coloursFJG needs the stripes and orange highlights to look it's best.
I don't like Race Red with the stripes, looks amazing without. They give excellent contrasts to any of the paint colours
I'm quite the opposite, Race Red is the best Mach 1 colour with the stripes because red with black contrasts/accents is great for me. But at least it still has mirrors, splitter, spoiler, wheels.I don't like Race Red with the stripes, looks amazing without.
I really hate the "matte" part of the hood decal. Everytime I touch it, it leaves a mark. They should have painted it Magnetic Metallic like the "swing" and mirrors instead.I'm quite the opposite, Race Red is the best Mach 1 colour with the stripes because red with black contrasts/accents is great for me. Which ceramic coating product did you use for the hood stripes? And what do you think of it?You realy need to ceramic coat the stripe for some protection. I have no issues with washing / drying it with a towel with some careful moves, no marks. And it's that rough one which is gonna be more demanding on care too.
I used this on the whole car, got a kit from Amazon that included the iron remover (which I didn’t use) and the paint prep. Working great so far 1 yr after application.Which ceramic coating product did you use for the hood stripes? And what do you think of it?
I'm not sure what detailer shop used, I have PPF full wrap and only asked them to put ceramic coating on the stripe. Probably something like Gyeon Q2, CarPro CQartz or GTechniq C1. I use a detailer with SiO2 (Auto Finesse Caramics Gloss Enhancer) for the whole car every 3 months so the ceramic layer on the stripe should last indefinitely. Works like a charm so far after a year.Which ceramic coating product did you use for the hood stripes? And what do you think of it?
De striped and de badged on the sides. I left the rear. I like the flow of it with the exhaust tips and Mustang in the front grill.Drop a pic when you do so please? I'm curious to see what it looks like
