It's just a car... If your that upset call your insurance company, file a claim and have it repaired. I'd rather be careless than be so superficial as to cry about a scratch on a car that is still mechanically flawless.
In my state by filing a claim usually theres a deductible and the possibility of a rate increase...IMO not worth filing a claim....If you know somebody that owns or works in a body shop ask them for advice on the best way to remove the scratches....maybe he could even buff it for you...

Has DingShield® been tested? Would seem that since the product traps the vehicle in its own exhaust gasses, customers won't live along enough to reap the benefits of their flawless protected paint.
DingShield® will self-port exhaust holes after around 40-50 miles of driving with it installed thanks to its Thermal Vaporization technology. This allows the hot exhaust tips to spontaneously perforate the DingShield® wrap. We do advise customers to use Oxygen masks while allowing the Thermal Vaporization to do its thing.

You also have to pay attention to the slope of a parking lot. Especially on windy days. I never park my car at the bottom of a hill. Your best bet is to start with the least aggressive solution first.
exactly what I do, sorry about your loss

Yes I agree people are careless and have little respect for others or their property. Unfortunately, to me that looks like buffing will only remove part of the scratches. Like others have said find a pro detailer and he can tell how much of it he can get out. Sometimes you can dampen a rag with lacquer thinner and wipe away the some of the paint material that has transferred onto your car. Lacquer thinner is great at removing scuffs or even graffiti sprayed on you car etc. Some will cringe at this advise but it works and a quick wax afterwards restores the protection. The first scratch on a new car sucks big time. Good Luck
