So I’m getting a ton of oil smoke when going 10/10ths but only after a loong left sweeper.

GT w/ 80k miles. ‘18 intake manifold. Everywhere else on track its fine. Drivers side catch can is ok, only a bit of oil. Definitely oil in the passengers side line tho and no catch can on that side

Technically its 16-17-18 at Cota and it smokes putting power down on apex at ‘19. At 8/10ths it doesnt donit. Car is definitely faster through there than its ever been.

Im thinking may need a new set of valve covers, possibly upgraded ones and a passenger side catch can. Do the GT500 valve covers fit the GT?

Yes, direct swap on a '15-17.

A passenger side catch can is a definite need for future protection.
My passenger side can always has a little bit in it at oil changes. My driver side can is always bone dry.

You don’t happen to have the part numbers do you?
M-6067-M52S

As Ewheels indicates, a passenger side catch can is more important than driver side; I have the FP one on my passenger side, and it's effective.

An added benefit of the GT500 valve covers is that they have provisions for the GT500 oil separator, if desired. Not to mention the baffling in them is better than the GT covers.

I have a passenger side Ford Perf sepersfor but the /drivers/ side line was very wet. I’m guessing that was the issue (right hand sweepers loading up the drivers side).

Thanks for the part number. I may look into the GT500 seperator too … is it different from the normal ford perf seperators? Tell me more.

M-6766-A52 is the number for the GT500 oil separator. Completely different animal than the smaller one that I have.

Sounds like you need better oil pan as well.

Honest curiosity, why do you say that? I asked a few people at the track if I should be looking at an oil pan (its been on my radar) but didn't sound like it would help with the specific issue I was having?

Only thing that i can say is that the gt500 valve covers solved the oil issue on my 17 track car
Almost no more oil in the driver side oil separator

Maybe because I confused that with the oil starving issue on left hand turns. But overall I think you are also slashing oil in this situation. So good race pan that is preventing oil from slashing might help with your blue smoke. Just a thought you know.

The baffling in the GT500 covers is more substantial for sure.

$505.00. Holy man. You can amazon and make a custom kick azz oil separator for like a hundo haha.
Yeah, they're pretty proud of it. And it's huge. But I'll bet it works.

I really like the 1 way silicone valves in the baffles that limit the amount of oil that can pool in it
Very smart design
