Recently did a coyote swap in my 2016 mustang. Everything done but I need to install a mass air flow sensor since my v6 engine didn’t have one

Hope this helps. Connector end views and pinouts of both PCM connectors. They do not seem to be different, but do not quote me on that.

Hey thanks a lot. Is this the pictures of the v8. Do you have pictures of the v6 model so I can see where to put the mass air filter.

Im not sure if this is for the 6 or 8. It is ford service info and it needs a VIN for me to tell if there is a difference between 6 and 8... but from what im seeing, it looks as if they pinouts are the same... but ill have to see if i can find a difference using a generic 16 mustang VIN.

Here’s the vin for mine. 1FA6P8AM7F5344433 just hopping they the same. I have the gt wire harness but it will be a pain swapping it out removing from under dash and engine bay etc. hoping I can just add that MAF sensor since everything else plugged right in. But with my luck imma have to swap it out

If you look at the wiring diagram , you need to be at pins 54 and 73 of the b connector . And pin 27 of the e connector . Your picture of that harness has the b connector . The picture of the brake out of pin locations is top one is b and bottom one is e

From what i am seeing here... no differences between the wiring on V6/V8. They are all the same connectors/pins.

I appreciate you guys with the help spent weeks trying get the info. Then I found this website. I’m in the process of stripping the wires so I can remove them. Going to try tomorrow and install pins. Hopefully it works

I know you said you didn’t want to deal with swapping the whole harness - but wouldn’t it have been a lot easier to swap the engine and dash harnesses - then to go through what you’re doing?

I mean the dash comes out as a whole assembly and connects to the main engine harness.

Any pics of the project?

How much was your swap - was it a whole car salvage purchase or did you buy a “pallet” 5.0?

Got a used engine from midway. Paid 6500 all together engine and transmission. My v6 engine died I purchased from Copart last year fixed it up and now my daily driver. You right it would’ve been easier but I paid a shop to install engine by the time I realized they was different it was to late. Still learning about this car stuff I’m the type to do then think about the punishment later lol
