My question is should you let your car cool some before closing it up in the garage, especially on hot summer days.
I am probably over thinking it.

I don’t like leaving my garage open cause we have a bunch of stray cats (neighbor feeds them). I actually have to lock my garage now cause I caught one the other night lifting the door, strong cat. Garage leaves like a inch or two gap if not lacked/latched. Before that I locked one in overnight on accident and not only did it walk all over the car it knocked a cordless leaf blower off the shelf into the car.( tight garage).

Not a problem at all parking a hot car in a garage. I imagine being parked outdoors for several hours in 100* temps would be much worse. Now, if you were going to be working in your garage, I would suggest letting the car cool down before pulling inside, so that you don’t cook yourself.

What's the alternative?

Leave the car outside on a hot day?

I guarantee you, it's better that the car is in the garage, rather than in direct sun-light, regardless of the temperature.

Youre right about he that. The blazing sun definitely adds to wear and tear. On cars and people! At least the garage is shade.

I've parked my car in a hot garage or on a hot driveway in 115°+ heat for two summers now. About to do it again this summer. I'm sure your car will be fine!

If the trapped heat is an issue, you could always put an Exhaust fan in the ceiling and vent it outside. CFM would very depending on how much air you are wanting to move.
And a Make Up Air vent to draw the cooler outside air in.
Just an option.

I don't have a garage, but I like to keep hood opened to let engine cool.

Not an issue at all.

My garage will get like a sauna after parking and closing the garage.

Only issue being if you have to go in there and do some work or anything. Then it's annoying but as far as hurting the car it won't do anything.

The interior of your car parked in the sun can easily get over 130+. It won't get that hot after parking and closing the door.
