Went for a drive on the Cherohala Skyway this morning. I got up to Stratton Ridge scenic overlook (4420 ft elevation) before the snow/ice on the road was enough to convince me it was time to turn around and head back to Tellico Plains.

Rode that on my Honda ST1300 mc many years ago and had a bee sting my ear just inside the helmet. I’ve been trying to get back there for over a decade…beautiful

The Cherohala Skyway is one of my favorite roads to drive anywhere. It has very little traffic, lots of sweeping turns, and scenic views all over. It's so much more fun to drive then the nearby Trail of the Donkey.

The rocker stripes look good on the car. Different. I see you changed the wheels from your signature picture. Both look good.

I had to change the wheels; my P51 wheels developed a 100% break in one of the spokes and a crack where the spoke attached to the rim. I consider myself lucky because things could have been worse.
