I was s thinking something like this, I don’t know if I should get vinyl or original stripes. Anybody have an idea of any important difference between the two? besides being able to remove the vinyl.

The two sources for stripes are Big Worm Graphics for aftermarket and Autonation for OEM. From what I’ve read here on the forum big difference in price.

Not completely sure what you mean by original but since you say vinyl can be removed, I'm assuming you mean painted like on the first Shelby Mustangs.

Painted stripes don't require any special care. They will be under the clear-coat just like the rest of your car color. To add stripes to a clear-coated car, they scuff the clear-coat on the panels to be striped, paint the stripes and then clear-coat the panels.

Vinyl is more easily damaged by birds, bugs, sap, water-spots, etc. And if damaged there is no touch up, you live with it or replace the entire piece of vinyl and hope it matches the original batch. You get a chip thru the clear and into a painted stripe, you can fix it just like any other paint chip. A side benefit is the front, rear and all top surfaces will have a lot more and tougher clear-coat.

With paint you have virtually unlimited choice of colors and also shapes, styles, stencils, etc..

Painted stripes will cost more than vinyl and even more if you want to undo them.

I went with painted:

Yes painted is what I meant and thank you for the information, that was the type of of opinion I was hoping for. Your car looks really good with the painted stripes, is their a big noticeable difference eyesight wise between the two? I haven’t been able to compare any in person but I was hoping to add them soon, feedback is appreciated.

Vinyl stripes all the way as they look fantastic, come on the gt350 and can be taken off when you want a change assuming you don’t leave your car out in direct sunlight daily. No way would I do painted stripes.

FWIW Here is a thread from someone in SoCal who had stripes painted on. The shop is mentioned.

I’ve never owned a white car before, other than a couple work trucks, he’ll never even considered buying a white car.......other than a 911 from the 80’s (gotta admit the white 911 with black accents was sexy).
Anyway, my 17 Mustang GT PP is white, got it at a price I couldn’t refuse and the color is starting to grow on me now. Lol! I’d like to kind of have the color accent/styling of the 911.
Also I’d like polished aluminum wheels, old school style like in the included picture, those are centerline telstars and fit the rear great, but will not clear the front 6 pot Brembo’s. Has anyone seen any old school looking wheels for the S550, other than full custom?

Here is my new left over 2018 Ecoboost Premium. Bought it 9/6/19. Has 201A Package and Black Accent Package. I replaced the factory flat short black blade "spoiler" with a real spoiler. Also replaced the hood vents and mirror caps with black ones.

And I really liked the OEM shift knob except that it feels tiny in my hand. So I installed a Hurst ball. Much better.

I also have installed 3D Maxpider carpet floor mats, Lloyd's carpet trunk mat, Steeda jack rails, Gorilla one piece chrome lug nuts, Hood struts, and a new fresh set of wiper blades since the car sat on the dealers lot for 15+ months. Loving this car so far. Traded in a 2019 Toyota 86 TRD SE on it. Couldn't deal with the very very low seat height and the very very harsh ride. Plus it was utterly gutless below 4500 rpm. Here is a pic or two of it before I removed the stripe and swapped out the wheels and tires
