I have own Ford's all my life won't buy anything else. ( if I get rich I might buy a Lamborghini if I can't get a GT) My 1st Mustang was a 79 model with a 2.8 I bought back in 2008 I drove at some but being as old as it was it needed work that at the time I couldn't afford to do so I sold her instead of letting her sit and rust into the ground. Wish I had her back there was something pleasing about driving a car with zero technology. I love my 15 Mustang convertible she's my dream car I plan on keeping her until I die.
Ha, my first Mustang was a 1978, four cylinder 4 speed I bought back in 1987. It was already shot when I bought it and it gave me loads of problems. My GF has a 1978 with a 302 4 speed that is in almost all original condition (except paint) that her parents bought new. It's in super condition and runs like a top. Sits right next to mine in the garage. Her dad was a parts manager at Sloan Motors Ford in Downingtown Pa. for 30 years and her folks had 14 Mustangs over the years.
My first Mustang was a third gen 4 cyl.... not exactly sure of the year. (it was VERY used when I got it in 87.... drunk lady pulled in front of me and totaled the car.)
'78 that I rebuilt for college car
'92 GT college graduation car. Still felt faster than any since.
'95 GT convertible. Felt like a total dog compared to the '92
'98 Cobra. Built into a Procharged 5.0 Livernois motor. Had to go 4.30 in the rear to get any kind of sense of torque lol
'15 GT. So much freaking fun to drive. Got the 3.73's. It's really close to a perfect car. Wish it a bit lighter up front. I would never have guessed I'd have paid 40k for a mustang and two years later say it was a good deal.
