Other people get jealous

I have noticed on some occasions when driving my Mustang some other drivers actually scowl and looked pissed off that I have a car that is better than the car they are driving. Or perhaps that's the way I perceive it I don't really know.

When I'm driving my '04 F-150 I don't get the same facial responses and the same goes for my wife's Subaru. Even at work when I told some of my fellow car buddies I had bought it last November I expected the "whoa" factor but got a look of jealousy. Oh well, sucks to be them...:cheers:

I live in an area of artsy crafty types in southern VT that until the late 70's was a manufacturing town and now caters to skiers and wealthy people from NY and Other areas who have vacation houses. Perhaps it's the MagnaFlow Comp exhaust with the MRT resonater delete that causes the disdain?

If you take a 2015 Mustang to a car show,you can just feel the S197 hate go to your bones, and if it be an Eco Boost or 6 Banger it"s like an explosion of hate,even on the street NO acceptance of the 2015,it"s like your invisible!!

Could be the exhaust, although I wouldn't think a Magnaflow Comp would be too loud. Frankly, I want to flip off drivers who have obnoxiously loud exhausts all the time - don't care what they drive.

It's only loud when you really get on it..but with the H pipe it sounds more like a early 70's muscle car and not a Raspy Ferrari V12 sound you get with the X. Growing up in the 70's as a kid I always loved the muscular sound of the muscle cars back then and as an old fart nothing has changed...

I've noticed most of the catbacks for the s550 are only really loud when you really get on them. Even my MBRP race catback is "quiet" until you get on it. It could also be I haven't heard it from outside the car yet. :lol:

To start off, I look like I could still be in HS (I'm 24)...I usually get looks from the younger crowd...With there wanna be racing cars, with mods they bought from there local auto store (basically cheap stuff) lol

No, I'm noticing the expressions mostly from oncoming drivers in the other lane so the exhaust isn't the issue.
