To the OP...I ordered my car one week after yours...I just checked with the dealer and my car will not be built until the week of 5/24....delivery may be the week of 6/7.

I just brought home a 2021 GT Premium - 401A, GT PP, MR, Active Exhaust, B&O, Manual. The dealer was right outside DFW metro. I got 4.7K under MSRP (which was 53.8K), but had $700 of add ons. If you are in the region, the best prices seem to be at a Houston Area dealership...which was another 1K lower, and lesser Addons too. But logistically getting to Houston was becoming a challenge so I bit my lip and handed over nearly 1.5K of hard earned cash. If anyone would like me to intro you to the Houston dealer, then PM with your personal ID and I can connect you with them.

Congrats on the new Mustang. Please post pics when you have a chance.

If it’s OK can I ask what the “extras” Are?

Sure. I am waiting to get some decals and such done before I take it out for a golden hour shoot...right now its a pretty stock version. The dealer add ones were Tint (399!) and Etching (299). This whole nickle and diming at dealership is the poison pill that will kill this middle-year in next 5-10 years...Tesla and Carvana are living proofs. But when has long term viability trumped short term greed :)

Plants shutdown until may 17th

according to this article above the flat rock plant that makes mustangs will be closed for 4 weeks until may 17th.

So i figure i won't see it until June.

I think it's going to be increasingly rare to see 2021 model year mustangs. At least in the North where they don't sell as many to begin with.

Double check with your dealer to make sure your car gets priority over any stock cars they also have on order.

Nice color. I love my Ruby Red.
Your delay brings back memories. It took 6mos. of waiting for delivery of my GT. This was back in 2019. Ordered in OCT. did not get until April the following year. There was a shortage of steering wheels at the time. It was an unforeseen delay. Very happy though now. Good Luck OP.

I also ordered a 2021 GT Premium Convertible. Placed the order on 4/12/21. Received my 'scheduled" email and supposed to be built week of July 12th and delivered approx July 21st. Its my understanding that orders for the 2021 were cut off on 4/15/21. So mine will be one of the last built for the model year. Thats ok with me. I also have a 69 Chevelle that was built on August 21st 1969 so a July build isnt that late.

I'm getting worried about my order seeing so many people in here and the Mach 1 forum who placed there's after me have scheduled build dates and VINs. I'm starting to wonder if my dealer doesn't have an allocation available...

So ford tracking still says 4/26/21 and days until delivery are how many days ago it was.

Dealership called me last week. They said that their date was 3/15. That's a lie because factories are closed until the 17th.

My dealer put in my mail into the order info so Ford emails me and the salesmen when and if things change. I get the emails usually a day or two before the tracking site reflects the change.

I got an email from Ford 12 days ago saying my build date has been pushed back to the week of June 21, but the tracking site still says it will arrive at the dealer June 10.
