Just finished up at Pikes Peak Raceway in Colorado this past week,
this was my second event of the year in Optima.
I won the AutoX event by .827 sec, and that was also good enough for 12th overall in a sea of Corvettes, Vipers, GTR's... in that category.
Finished 5th in Hot Lap (road course) and 5th in Speed Stop
Wound up finishing 5th overall in the GT Class out of 36 for the weekend.
All in all it was a good weekend the car ran well and came home in one piece,
it's only the 2nd time I've had her on a road course (only been on a road course 4 times total) and
looking at the concrete wall in turn 2 is pretty intimidating
New episodes of Optima's search for the Ultimate Street Car will begin to air
this Sept on Mav TV so tune in!
Looking forward to the next Optima at my home track, Auto Club Speedway in Fontana
