I agree with the majority of the opinions here. If you don't need the money, don't sell the wheels. They will be worth a lot of money some day.

I was told that was not the case by CR. The wheels have an RFID chip embedded into them, but the wheels are not serialized to the car.
Hmm, when dealing with the warranty issue on mine I was told they could identify which set a wheel came from. Maybe they tagged sets but didn't map sets to VINs?

I have to reach out for another issue. I will ask again.

Luckily my wife is very accepting of my issues! It helped though when I sold several cars, and then sold the key spare parts for several tidy sums.....which I had promised her YEARS ago would be the case. But, at 62, this line of collecting has its time limits!! Insert sideways crazy face!

Personally I'd keep both and run a set on the car. It doesn't sound like you're putting too many miles on it so just enjoy the limited time driving the car with the wheels that were designed for it. I keep wanting to get a set of HREs for the street mainly just for looks, but the car drives great with the stock carbon wheels.

I've been on the lookout to put a set together...and considered buying a single wheel here and there. Lowest price I've found was $1600 each. Unless you have an R, I don't see people spending this kind of money just to have CF. Even as an R owner....I wouldn't really pay a premium (lol, aren't they already). If I found a take off set w/tires at $8k, I'd do it but nothing more. YMMV

Go take a look at the classifieds section here on the forum. Need to look into the GT350 section & find some past /currant ads for CF wheels. Might shed some light on value.

Being just a tick older than you, consider getting a couple sets of these stud extensions for use with your wheels. Way too many back issues over the years for myself & these really make a difference. "www.ReverseLogic.us" name brand. Quality tools!

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.

Here you go. Maybe negotiate the price;

Which is the odd one? Thanks.
Look where the lugs go. You'll see three of the four have a slightly pyramidal cross section with a thin "lip," while #3 has a more trapezoidal cross section and a flatter/broader "lip". It's a subtle difference. My car, when sold, was the exact same way because I had an original CF wheel fail and get replaced with the newer style.

Not sure when in production this change was made on cars leaving the factory, but I think it was sometime in 2018.
