This just popped into my email, But I cant find any info on it, apparently the recall posted on 8/4:

08/04/2022
Manufacturer Emissions recall issued
Recall: #22E08 2020-2021 MUSTANG GT500 TCM
COMMUNICATION

Thought I'd post and make anyone aware, it only tells me to call the dealership for info and there is currently no remedy available.

If this is an official recall it will appear under the national highway transportation safety administration website -here is the link
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
just checked using the Vin on my 20 and there is no recall outstanding for me $production date December 2019

I also checked the recall site on ford.com and I do not see any recalls for my vin

Was thinking TCM stands for transmission control module?

S'pose it could be both but in this case, I'm pretty sure it's the transmission. To my knowledge, there has only been one TCM firmware update since the start. I had a tech duit for me..it allegedly was for the lagging launch issue but who knows what else was in it? Tob or Jaime almost certainly remember more about it than I.

Actually if memory serves me right there were two TCM firmware updates, Both were to address that, the first was an improvement but not enough, where the second was suppose to eliminate the lag completely but nothing was ever said after. My service guy did both updates when I mentioned when they were available.

Have you tried the Launch Control after the update?
Now that I passed 500mi I’m ready to try my ‘22 out. The early cats had a terribly noticeable delay.

Must only be some of the vehicles in that range of dates because I checked mine again against national highway transportation and Ford website with my build being November 20 and there is no recall for it at least it’s not posted up there yet

Good news, mate and good to hear from ya. Now, let's hope that the recall databases are updated and correct. :-) I'd really like to avoid a trip to the dealer. If you could only download and install these firmware updates yourself, right? Never happen, I know. :-)

I had a blend date of 3/25/20. I'll have a look.
Edit:
Looks like I should be ok.
