I tried to wrap my dash and it didnt come out like I wanted it to. So I found this guy who makes carbon fiber dash trims from the OEM trim. Took about two weeks and was cheaper than American muscle’s price at $1000 but still wasn’t cheap lol ($600). He did such a good job that I may be getting my mirror done to match my spoiler and trim.

Is this a wrap? Not sure I would pay $600 for a wrap, maybe if it was Hydro-Dipped.

No I had a guy lay real carbon on the original dash oem trim and a clear coat.

So it's now heavier than the OEM dash trim?

I honestly would have had it hydro dipped.

That's beautiful, he does good work. I prefer real carbon over hydrocarbon, the way it reflects light is one of my favorite features of it.
Exactly why I got the real carbon this time.. I did a wrap and it was no where near the real thing.

Do you have a protective wrap on it still? Or does it reflect the light like that?

Good job, the hydrocarbon looks nothing like the real thing if you've ever had the real thing. I can't ever go back to anything other than real CF which is why my car still doesn't have a carbon dash yet. Not going to cheap out.

Wrap doesn't give you the sweet smell of carbon-fibre. No need to offend the senses...

Hahaha, there's __zero__ weight impact from overlaying real CF on some existing dash parts ...
I mean, there is... because you're overlaying material on top of the OEM trim.... but sure ignore physics.

The whole point of carbon fiber is to make things lighter not heavier.
