Looks like mineral oil is leaking from the Drivers side module, I assume the rain sensor, the other side is the camera.
The car sat in the garage all summer in AZ, and I assume the heat got to it.
Has anyone had this and does the windshield have to be replaced?

Can you live without a rain sensor?

Rain sensor…?
You GT guys have all the cool gadgets!
There is about a dozen things you folks get as an option that we don’t.

Here is a list of all the cool stuff we have that you don’t:
1: Flat Plane Crank VooDoo
2: Uhhhh……….. there has to be something else?

The S550 is one GREAT Mustang platform for sure….!!!!!
Curious as to the next platform… can they make it even better?

Just seems like it's more trouble then is it worth, is all.

Not all GTs, I got no stinking rain sensor. :cwl: I'm pretty good at detecting :rain: on my own LMAO.

Next platform, update auto hair combing > when exiting the vehicle .

I tend to agree, but when you've got (mineral?) oil running down the windshield I had to ask wtf is going on. LOL

Running down the windshield, not fun. Guess the next question is how much does the sensor hold & how long before it runs dry?

I guess I might spray the windshield and see if they work.

Wouldn't this be covered under the initial warranty ? Unless you are over on mileage

Same thing is happening with my F150. I replaced the rain sensor after suspecting that, but it is happening again. There is also an oil filled pouch (for lack of a better word) around the camera which I believe is a heater/defroster. I have suspected that, but can't find a leak or trail to confirm it.

It's under warranty, I just like to understand and have info if I take it in. My research concluded that dealerships are not that up on the problem, take it in and-never heard of it.

This is me, I have it as well. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it looks like oil. I also thought it's a water leak when I use my pressure washer to wash the car - maybe? I'm too lazy to take it in and watch them take apart everything that a little wipe fixes.
