So I am getting closer to my next oil change and it would appear that the ford oil filter for my 2019 is made of a mysterious element called unobtainium. Anyone know where to get one. FL2087 and KR3Z6731A are the part numbers.

There’s about 10 threads on this topic running right now between here and FB groups. There’s no short easy answer. Shop around; RockAuto, LMR, JCPP, all the big players get some in randomly. Try all your local dealers. Short of that, Amsoil has filters.

Yep. I've got an order in for one that has been delayed months, with no delivery date provided yet.

I've ordered the previous model (FL2062) to use in case the new one doesn't arrive prior to my oil life running out.

Don't know why you cant get it from the dealer. Parts.ford doesn't show back order.

You can probably buy one from the stealership but you will pay $40+ :giggle:

That's the main problem.

This topic is getting old. I was able to find one with no issues. I ordered it from amsoil along with 12 quarts of oil.

Just curious, what do you think a fair price would be for the filter from the dealership if you could get one

I've paid anywhere from $19 to $25 from various online sources in the past. I wouldn't want to pay anymore than that from a physical dealership unless I was really desperate. Of course they won't sell it to you for that price anyway so it is a moot point unfortunately. I just hate doing business with dealerships to begin with; it is always such a slimy affair.

You were able to order an FL-2087 from Amsoil?
I bought the amsoil filter along with the oil a few weeks back. I have a 2017 with the filter that goes Inside the composite cartridge.

Amsoil doesn't offer a filter equivalent to the fl2087.....only the fl2062....

Technically, yes. But they state there's no plans to cross the 2087 because there's no need to. They may change this due to recent fitments, but we'll see. Their filter already had a synthetic media that looks/feels like the 2087. And yes, it has the plastic internal framework, but it was already more robust than the 2062. The Amsoil filter always was superior to the 2062.
