Hi Everyone,

Im in the progress of preparing to take my car out of winter storage. Its a 2015 Mustang GT PP. I changed the oil before putting it away for storage (October 2015) with synthetic motor oil at the dealer.

The car has been in a heated garage all winter with a trickle changer.

Is it necessary to change the oil once again or can I run it all summer and change it in the fall when it goes back into storage?

What is your opinion?

Is there anything else I should do before starting it? Or just push the START button?

Thanks in advance!

Oil change

IMO no you don't have to change it if you did just as you stored it ang did not drive it or start it at all.
For 16 years I have stored one of mine by changing the oil and filter and putting it away for the winter. No starting no driving. Take it out in the spring, check everything over and good to go. Never a problem.
I'm sure you will get different opinions but this is mine and has worked for quite a while.

It will be fine, just change it before you put it away for winter.

You did the right thing by changing it BEFORE storing it for the Winter and there's no need to change it again in the Spring.
