I've seen in a friends F150 the brown milk shake looking stuff in his catch can. I assumed it was because he had it on an ecoboost.

Now that people in here are saying they see that on their GT350, I'm wondering if it is because they are using e10 gas.

I have always used 100% pure gas and my UPR catch can looks like pure oil, and there is only like a half a shot glass full after a couple thousand miles.

As combuster pointed out, the period used for my results consisted of a large amount of idling and warm up cycles as it was colder in Ohio. I think this plus E50-e85 contributed to it.

Emptied mine yesterday. About 2000 miles of regular everyday driving and NO track days. Can was about 1/3 full.

Will the ford performance catch cans work with the JLT intake? I thought I read somewhere that the catch cans will only work with the oem intake.

Not without some modification to the bracket. I sold my Ford one and just bought a passenger side JLT one. The drivers side wont get any oil without being on the track. The passenger side picks up oil with just regular driving.

So the passenger side ford performance can is fine, but for the driver side I should go with the JLT unit when I purchase the intake?

Yeah passenger side should be fine. The driver side doesn't work with the JLT intake.

After 3500 miles and 3 autocross days, my FPP right side catch can had 2 ounces of oil, clean clear oil.

I installed the FPP catch cans on both sides of the engine around 200 miles. Just got my first oil changed last night at about 650 miles.

I checked them both tonight and the mileage is now 750 miles. I was surprised to find about an 1/8 of an inch of clean oil in the passenger side one. The drivers side was bone dry.

A couple of questions. Is this normal and how often should you check them? By the looks of this I should be checking them once a month.

Anyway, glad I got them and I obviously recommend it to anybody new to this car.
