Oil and Oil consumption

My catch can oil is dark. Its only a few ounces at best and it is not an accepted practice. Not worth throwing dirty oil back into the engine.

I just googled it. And Tom is correct. I got bad advice on Saturday. The oil can have contamination in it and the catch can collects condensation.
