Man, Auto's have really come a long way from the dogs they were in the early mid 90's.

Awesome, can't wait to see what a 6-speed can do and/or what they'll run with sticky tires.

Not all autos are good. Yes, the 10 speed in sports cars and trucks will be good, but the automatic in econobox cars is still a POS. Not a fan of the CVT either.

+1 to Jason. Manual for me as well.

I like the POTENTIAL of a CVT but their strength is just not there. I like that you can have a car that will change is ratios depending on what you are doing and can either have very short gears to keep you perfectly in the power-band or at the press of a button re-gear to get the best MPG.

They are just not strong enough yet, and the fact that normal people keep bitching that they can't "feel a shift" and making auto makers re-program to software to FEEL better instead of perform better is keeping them back.

If a 10spd geared tranny is doing this good, imagine a tranny that would have kept that 5.0 in the perfect place for it's powerband through the whole run.

Man I love the SOUND of that car. I have an EcoBoost and I don't miss the extra horsepower, but I do miss the sound.

Great video. I love the driver's excitement at the end.
