Well done! So if history holds and the actual date FP gives is always 1 week sooner than the Ford email, the plant will reopen from the gas leak on 9/20, and my car gets built 9/27. Good, don't want one built right after a 2 week shutdown.

Is there no local cars for sale around you guys? I just bought a Mach 1 HP off a lot, and we’re about 5 mOre within 4 hours of me in southern Ontario

I’m looking for primarily a track car, so I haven’t found the right package set that would make me happy and not have a markup. Recaros, handling package. 700a to get nicer trim.
At this point, I just need it ready for spring.

Update 1.

Based on the recent thread about the plant shutdown (some gas leak) I was expecting an eventual email extending my build week of Nov 1st to a later date.

But today I received an email telling me a new build week of Oct 25.

What's the over/under on subsequent emails changing the date multiple times? lol

Ok so not sure if this will be welcome info or not because not necessarily good news and maybe all of you are already aware. Build date is affected by dealer allocations. So if your build comes up and the dealer doesn’t have the allocation then it gets bumped. That’s the 30,000’ view. Found a really long detailed explanation on a couple other vehicle sites if you want to google it. This would explain how someone on this forum ordered our exact spec excluding color, over 2 weeks after our order date, yet their build week is 28 days before ours. Dealer did tell me today that they just got more allocation so hoping ours moves up with next week’s update.

Are you sure? Because my understanding is that Mach orders were not allocation based (hence why dealers can't order the cars without a customer order. Would be nice if Zach or Jay@granger could comment

Welp, I received my expected bump email today.

To summarize my order thus far:

Grabber yellow, tremec, 700a, magnesium wheels. Ordered through Granger (great experience)
Order placed & confirmed: 7/20/2021, priority code 19
First build date (received 7/29): 11/8
Build date update (received 8/17): 11/15
Build date update (received 8/21): 11/29
Build date update (received 8/27): 11/22
Build date update (received 9/11): 11/29

So at the moment I still have hope my car will be built? But I'm feeling significantly less confident, to the point that I'm starting to keep my eye out for similar builds; if I can snag one for MSRP I might do that.

Just from the peanut gallery, Ford has no business taking more orders for 2021. I would be amazed if anything placed now gets completed.

My car has bin in production since 9/1 maybe earlier then that.dealer call me 9/2 and said car was build & Scheduled to be at dealer 9/18,but when I check it online it says in productio.Last email I got from Ford schedule build week 9/13. I’m going to call dealer&Ford performance monday

If you have a VIN it will get built, at least per a couple different moderators and my dealer.
