Just received my email saying my build date has moved to the week of 20 December. This doesn’t give me a warm feeling it will be built for 2021…I have Velocity Blue and see it’s not offered in 22.

If cancelled, are the orders rolled into 22 models if the buyer concurs? Wonder if they will also be pushed ahead of those with 22 orders?
You’ll more than likely be called by your dealer asking if you want to turn your order into a 2022, in which case, since Velocity Blue isn’t available, then given the option to pick another color.

Should you opt for a ‘22, you’ll be higher on the list than those who just ordered a ‘22. That’s why I wanted to get my order in ASAP for a 2022.

The last email I got was in mid September, bringing me back to my original date of Nov 08.

I haven’t been getting emails lately that many of you are getting.

I had to call earlier this week to get an update (Nov 29).

But now I’m seeing posts that may indicate even later.

It seems like every time I get close to two weeks away from production I get an email pushing me off another two weeks. As it stands now I will be nearly 7 months from order to production.

So some good news for some and bad news for others maybe. I got an update on mine from zone rep, been in production since 9/28, its in the trim stage so almost built. Hopefully about a week away from shipment. That's the good news, the bad news for some is that production is taking longer likely due to parts. Maybe HP specific, don't know.

I ordered 4/24, Race Red, 700A, HP, Elite, Recaro's, etc.

So for those of us in production, we're almost there. For those of you not in production yet, it seems to be taking awhile once in production.

At this point it might be quicker to sail down to the Panama Canal and, even with the Canal delays, come thru and use an East Coast port lol

Heck, go to Alaska and then fly in the components.

They could fix this fairly immediately if they really wanted to. They don’t want to upset the unions who run the ports. Our military logistics specialists, transportation specialists and equipment would make quick work of it. It would be an incredibly proud moment to witness our military saving Christmas!

won't work. these pacific ships are almost all larger than panamax ships. they would have to go all the way around the horn of argentina.

the Canal is accommodating the larger 'New Panamax' ships

I just wish we knew if there is even a chance that our cars will be done before they are cancelled. Maybe I'm feeling very pessimistic today, but I think we will get strung along for the next month and a half before Ford cancels next to all of our orders. I further predict that instead of a nice fruit basket, phone call, and heavy discount from Ford by way of apology, all we will "get" will be the opportunity to jump the line on the 2022 orders, and be obligated to pay the additional cost increase for the '22 year. Actually if I'm being honest I bet they will put us behind the current pre-orders because that requires less effort on their part.

Personally if it comes to that, I'm taking my deposit from Granger and buying an overpriced used GT350 or Porsche rather than wait another half a year to see if Ford honors their word on these.
