Official: Ford Reveals the Shelby GT350R Mustang!

I think the price is going to be surprisingly low, in the 58K for a well optioned GT350 and 63K for a track ready GT350R, the problem,... as has been said before, will be the Dealers. And you can quote me on this.

Think about it, its a GT Mustang, with a 5.2 Flat plane engine. The material, may cost a little more and the labor to put the engine together is what? (is it hand built? I never heard that it was...so??) then you also have an aluminum front hood and fenders, well Fords in the aluminum business now so that can not add that much to the car, and then you have the spring that are stiffer, well that does not add anything to the price just wound a little tighter....and what else? a few bigger spoilers...crap the material cost is nothing...So really unless this car has 9K brakes which I doubt....This price is not going to be that bad...and every interview with some Ford Rep, said this car will be affordable. Ford knows whats going on with Viper and the new base price and that a 2 year old Porsche and GT-R where they are at, and they will adjust the price accordingly. Trust me , 3 months after they hit the ground, and you see them on the street, you will be able to get at least the GT350, maybe not the "R" Some have speculated that less than 1000 "R"s will be made because it said Chassis VP 001, on the dash "plaque", it would only go to 999. If you look at the "Chassis" word, it looks like it could easily be moved over a click to make room for a higher number on the end. Some are saying there will be no more that 5000 regular GT350's will be made to compare with the amount of GT500 in 2014 that were made....we will see.

it also had 001 on GT 350 release, not sure you can go by that for production numbers.
They have said same types of numbers as gt500 for GT 350
nothing has been said about numbers for R except it will be limited,
but how many a year and how many years?

Is this one a clay model? The rear lights look "solid" if that makes sense? I'm guessing if it's an early model they may not have settled on the choice of rear wing........or perhaps the this one will be optional.
