The 500s wing looks like a horrible afterthought to me.
Looks are subjective and everyone has an opinion. However it's the same wing as the GT4 Mustang race car, and Ford is actually bringing real race technology and parts to the street so that's pretty cool and gives Ford a lot of credibility to the cliche of "racing makes our road cars better" that most manufacturers claim.

There’s still hasn’t been any mention in any of those articles about the exact amount of the increase.

Where did that 5K figure come from ?
It's right here in the Pricing Guide that was announced in June.

The transmission from the GT500 needs to be offered.
lol thats all fun and games until Ford decides to do that and drop the manual transmission - maybe trade for 'more power' and say that the 3160 can no longer handle the torque :facepalm::facepalm:

Actually as a 2017 GT350 owner, I should encourage Ford to do that; after all look at Boss 302 prices holding steady - the stick shift SVT car will ultimately be the desirable one ...

The car already had a resonator delete!!! That's not new for 2020 on the R!!
YES! I wanted to punch every FUCKING journalist that listed that as a "change".

ALL aside, if this REALLY is all they are changing for 2020 and charging 5K USD more for the car, they can go FUCK THEMSELVES.

Thank you for that.
By the way, I wonder why the gas guzzler tax is double for the 500.

Ewwwwwww.

All joking aside, I know everyone has a preference, manual vs auto.

However, given it is such a low volume vehicle, and was originally designed with a manual, it is not realistic to have both. EPA certs, crash tests, etc. make it too costly.
LOL......the quicker shifts would make for a faster car.
Ford should offer both.

Don't you guys love how the vinyl stripes are 2x as much on the gt500 vs gt350. Is ford putting on twice as much stripes or the stripes are twice as better? This is a pure money grab!

This makes me very happy for buying my 2000 miles 16' R for under 60k... it's officially a keeper now.

Sounds like you got a good deal indeed. Just keep an eye on the oil consumption. It seems that model years 16 & 17 are the ones who suffer the most from oil consumption.

I do; but I tend to disagree on that second statement... I have not heard any of the members with a 16 to complain about oil consumption, only 17 and above. I had a 16 track pack, and that baby used no oil at all... even after 5 x 30 min intense track sessions, where the revs would not drop under 4000, I had to top up nothing.
I still have that extra quart in my garage I bought for topping up, believe me or not. Sold it at close to 14k miles, no issues what so ever, engine or otherwise.
If I wasn't craving for an R, I would still have that car...

But I am not saying issues are not ever going to show up, just relating to my experience. Cheers.

Yep! I'm sure many '18- '19 R owners are feeling quite smug and VERY satisfied !
Incremental improvement to steering feel....
Yea, Yea.

I like where I am with a 2019 GT350 in the garage (less than MSRP) but with high taxes on it.

I agree 100% that any price around MSRP is a bargain based on the performance of the car. I've owned mine for 5 weeks and very happy with it.

95CobraR: Yes, totally agree ....you should be very happy with your '19 GT350 base car purchased under MSRP! Several significant changes to '19 and you did well indeed. My comment was directed to Lightrules and others who-not holding out till last minute to learn of 2020 R refresh-
went forward with securing an awesome '18 or '19 R model.
