Interesting...agree. Was wondering (in a previous thread) whether some of the issues from past models would be addressed during the down time: bumper gaps, paint, oil consumption, etc., or if they are just trying to align GT350 and GT500 production.Damn the build dates are that far-out on the 19s.... interesting
They take a break from GT350 & R production during the winter months due to the nature of the tires not agreeing with the cold weather. So I can see the build dates beginning late February at the earliest.Damn the build dates are that far-out on the 19s.... interesting
I hope R production is not too late. I dont have a car and that will drive me bonkers when the weather changes back to springThey take a break from GT350 & R production during the winter months due to the nature of the tires not agreeing with the cold weather. Cup 2's cracking on the R's was an issue that first winter of GT350 production, but the following winter they took a break from all GT350 production. Even the regular Pilot Super Sports have a warning from Michelin about driving on them in temps below 45 degrees. Even though the new Cup 2 on the 2019 GT350 is not the same exact compound as the R's, they still won't like the cold. That should only affect the Cup 2 tires on the R unless the revised Cup 2 tires that are going to be on the 350 and R for 2019 are the same tires that currently on the R. Surely not cause they will/can crack if outside below 45 degrees and would wear out fast driven on the street and also not a very safe street driven tire.
That would make sense if they were producing 2019s in Oct/Nov and paused for the winter. It's odd, however, to not even start 2019 production until 2 months into 2019. Believe there is another reason for the late production--nothing conspiratorial, just another expanation. They take a break from GT350 & R production during the winter months due to the nature of the tires not agreeing with the cold weather. So I can see the build dates beginning late February at the earliest.
Just FYI, I am still being told by dealer, their Ford rep, Ford information Line and Ford Performance that the order banks are NOT open yet for the GT350 and there is no ETA available.Similar experience. Placed my order last week and received the factory order number today:
- Electronics pkg
- Leather seats (non-Recaro)
- Handling Pkg
- CF Dash
- Cover
Hoping for a March build date, which would make for about a May delivery
Same here.Just FYI, I am still being told by dealer, their Ford rep, Ford information Line and Ford Performance that the order banks are NOT open yet for the GT350 and there is no ETA available.
Ordered through MAS, to include placing a 3k deposit. Maybe they are getting an exception for the 20 they have available: https://www.militaryautosource.comJust FYI, I am still being told by dealer, their Ford rep, Ford information Line and Ford Performance that the order banks are NOT open yet for the GT350 and there is no ETA available.
Hope you get yours first! Thank you for your service, much appreciated!Ordered through MAS, to include placing a 3k deposit. Maybe they are getting an exception for the 20 they have available: https://www.militaryautosource.com
Probably wishful thinking about getting a 19 GT350 @ $500 over invoice. MSRP is possible but probably not in Fla or Ca. You're probably looking at ADM's for the start of the model year run. Pretty dependent on how many are made as well. There are variables to consider. This forum is great at pointing out where some "good deals" are. What’s expected on the standard GT350 pricing wise? Msrp with no adm, $500 over invoice?
