You really think people buy a Mustang GT for safety options???

Both the 2017 and 2018 modded, you aren't going to find much difference. You're just going to find out you spent a lot more money for one than the other.
Apparently so since pretty much all of Europe is making a huge deal about it, and even some Americans think the car should be safer. Again, it's an option that's available now that previously wasn't.

The cost differences are not going to be astronomical. You bought your S550 late in the game. Go back to some of the 2014 threads where people were submitting orders. There were a LOT of $42K+ Mustang orders. That's just life. I mean, I could wait until the S650 comes out and buy a S550 right before they're over and probably save $6-7k just like you did, but is being able to enjoy it 2-3 years sooner worth the $6-7k difference? To me, yes, and it will still be a better car than a 15-17.

I think the all new engine except for the crank I think will be a significant improvement over the current 435 hp motor. IMO at least 30-40 hp:thumbsup:

MSRP.... plenty of dealers out there selling them for 35-36k all day long with the PP.

I believe you without the PP. I saw an internet priced one at 38k for a premo non-pp. Likely could shave another 1-2k off walking in.

It (the '18 refresh) might be better out of the box, but this is why we have this thing called aftermarket.
Funny, my exact thoughts on my '14 GT versus the '15-'17 S550's.

One more reason to hate NJ then. Everything here is a lot more expensive.

You can thank Ford for not sharing more information and releasing a new refreshed sports car when half of country is garaging them.

Yea I'm not sure what Ford's reasoning is for delaying it until the late fall/early winter. I was going to wait for an 18 expecting a Summer release but now I am either going to have to buy a 15-17 or buy something else all together and wait a year or two to get a Mustang.

except that its not. Ordering might open in the summer but cars arent going to be delivered until November which is very far from a summer release.

"Man what is Ford thinking! Releasing a sports car in the fall/early winter!"

Apparently people forgot the launch of the S550 in 2014.
