Hi KCC0521, my Dad is correct in his statement when going to different tracks in with different weather conditions, your mph can change dramatically. But I just got to review my data and here's what I found.
In the world of racing there are so many variables to fight, case in point...below are two data logs, the first is from a few weeks ago when the posi was slipping, but the tranny was hooking and I ran 11.22. You will notice the converter is lockingup in 2nd as we want it to (RED circle) and the 2-3 shift is crisper.
The second data log is from last night on my 11.03 pass, you will notice the converter didn't lockup and makes for a softer 2-3 shift.
This definitely would have got me the 10 second pass I'm looking for and I'm sure my mph have been back to normal also.
I guess when you are talking fractions of a second any minor change will cause the time to vary. I struggle with that on my car. Since it is a stick it is hard to shift the car at the same RPM. The 1-2 shift is the worst since the traction affects how long the car stays in first. I think my car has an 11.2 in it with perfect DA and good driving.

That is a really good time with such a soft 60ft. If you get a better launch you will be 11.5 or better.

That is a really good time with such a soft 60ft. If you get a better launch you will be 11.5 or better.

Thanks! 1-2 shifts just spins so damn much. I even "short shift" at 6200rpm on that run. 2-3 spins has a bit of spin too. I want to try some slicks sooo bad!!

It's interesting comparing slips like this. I, too, spun bad on the 1/2 shift. But had good traction for the other shifts. Almost the same MPH at the 1/4 but look at the difference in 1/8th MPH between them. Ricer math adds up when comparing the ET and the 60 between them. I'm on street tires, with a little bit more weight due to stock wheels/tires and PP brakes. I wonder if the soft 1/8th MPH is from the spinning on the 1/2 or maybe gearing differences due to shifting so much the first half of the track.

Nice run. Do you have any idea why the 1/8 mph was up one and the 1/4 was down 5 from your previous best?

I have been pretty busy this year. Not a lot of track time!
2 weeks ago I went to a 1/8 track for some testing before going to the 1/4 mile track but I broke my stock shaft. I put the Ford racing shaft but now my abs sensor light is on even afer changing a abs sensor. Will see if I have time to do some clean run in the next couples weeks. I know my car is .1 to .2 faster than last year with the additions skinnies, bmr spring and new tune.
Just need some track time and great weather!
Still is a full weight street car with full interior, stock front and rear seats and street exhaust running on premium 94 octane pump gas.
Except for tires and wheel I run my car at the track exactly like when I drive around on the street with my kids.

I am still running the stock GT intake but I do have a gt350 intake for next season. Maybe e85 too.

Nice to see all you guys running faster and faster!!!!

Those are great times. Are you still running 3.73 gears? Is it the stock clutch and tranny? Are you running 93 and a BAP with stock fuel system? Did you make the pass with the inlet and filter on the supercharger?
