My front brake pads are almost toast and unfortunately my front rotors are decently glazed over. Anyone have recommendations for quality brake pads and rotors that are not OEM? I'm not trying to "upgrade", going to be mostly street driving with 2-3 times a year track use, thus not trying to spend much more $$. Girodisc rotors sound amazing but don't need them. Is there any benefit to going non-OEM if you aren't upgrading to a more expensive set up?

There are quite a few of us that have switched to the Powerstop Z26 pads with great success. Initial bite is a little less than the factory pads, but definitely still perform almost as well (9/10) as the factory pads. I’d go with the 19/20 solid OEM rotors and call it a day. Pads are much cheaper than the factory ones too.

I’m sure the rest of the Z26 guys will chime in here shortly.

There are lots of different options if you want to focus more on your track days including a carbon ceramic route.$$$

Btw this was the best brake mod I’ve done...

Thanks for the recommendation! These are the ones you're talking about?

I don't think you want to use those Z26 pads on track. I could be wrong but I think that's the low dust solution for street only.

Power stop Z26 are perfect for the street. Very low dust. Can go a week or two between wheel washing and get almost the same stopping power. Rotors on the other hand are my issue. I really would like to get the stock drilled ones for replacement but the cost and availability is an issue. There's not a ton of choices for those floating ones

GLoc GS-1’s is another amazing street pad with darn near (as you’re gonna get) zero dust. I’m going Girodisc next time. Great looking option.
