Odometer readings on new cars

Mine had 3 miles on it. It was a special order car, so nobody test drove it.

Just took delivery of my new 2022 GT today. Odometer was exactly 5.8 miles when I first sat in it. Then I took it out for a 5 mile test drive, and back to the dealership to finalize the purchase. The dealer recorded it as 10 miles for the purchasing and registration paperwork.

Picture of the new car sitting at home in the garage below. I asked the dealer to NOT wash the car, as that is something I want to do more carefully myself. So sorry, if this picture of the new 2022 GT Premium Atlas Blue Metallic is less than stellar, but I thought I'd quickly share since I've been making a lot of posts about my car order process in the past 3 months in this forum. I will take more pictures and share more in the days soon ahead.

My Rspec had 57 kms.

My 2020 had 26 miles on it. Not sure if that was from test drives. When I bought it, it was in their showroom and had been their for three months. It was shipped to me so I got gypped out of my full tank.

For any of you who have taken delivery of a new Mustang, what was the odometer reading when you first looked at or got the car?

I'll go first. When I purchased my 2015 GT in late 2014, it had an odometer reading of 19 miles when I first took it for a test drive at the dealership. Some of that may have been previous test drives and initial curious driving, since it was one of the first S550s ever seen at the dealership. In the next week or two I will be taking delivery of a new 2022 GT, and will be curious what the odometer reading might be.

4 miles on my Bullitt, literally bought off the truck. Never test driven by anyone but me. Did the same with my Jeep Commander in 2006. 256K happy miles on that, but only 13K so far on the Bullitt.

I don't recall every buying a new car with more than 10 miles....I suppose we'll see when my 22 gets here. A bit off topic....we have 2 older Dodge Vipers...one I bought new in 2000. Dodge would pull cars off the line for quality control. Both of mine had this, as there is a card in the car with the mileage and signature of the driver.

I picked up my 20 January of 21 so it was at the tail end of the 20 model year. Had like 50 miles on it. Drive it like 300 home.
