Jeez. Glad you are ok and doing well. Was that fire recall related or something else?

Gotta thank Joe for speeding things up with the recall. Happy new year.

I gotta say that car sounded like a beast as it was setting up to pass the BMW!

You don't "think"? Or you KNOW it wasn't? ;)
From everything I've seen, this is issue was NOT related to the recall. I had a snap ring fail on the oil thermostat circuit.

Yeah, well, I'm starting to wonder about that in light of this thread: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73000

Maybe it was snap ring failure...maybe it wasn't. Do you REALLY know for sure? Does Ford really know? Either way I'm an unhappy camper and about fed up with waiting for the oil line fix. I love this car to pieces but I can't drive it. Yet I'm still paying for it. :tsk:

I've put mine away simply because of weather up north, but plan a trip in early March of about 1500 miles round trip oil line fix or not. As seen in many post, Ford did not tell anyone to quit driving their car.
Yes I will get my car fixed once the recall parts are available but until than,,,,

This is more of the issues faced when buying a limited production vehicle. I seen in the g6 link you provided of guys fed up with Ford? Really no other Manufactur has had issues with vehicles? Everyone wanted this car to be limited in #'s and years produced. What do you think will happen if another issue arises 5 years from now and production on the 350 is over? It's the double edge sword of " I want a limited number high performance car, with a engine like no other, and only used in the 350 but Ford better take care of my every need!!?, Really?? Keep driving your car,,, warranty, remember. Unless you've done some modifications you'll be fine.

Not to split hairs, but my car was modified and yet Ford still took care of me.

04Terminator and Voodoo have a point. It's hard to fathom that simple oil lines are sidelining cars just cause the fix isn't available yet.

Joe, you're a lucky sumbitch... to walk away uninjured is a blessing, especially with all the parts on production cars that do like to catch fire. As I stated in another thread, mysterious puddles of oil found under cars not caused by lack of tightening the oil filter likely were failed oil lines.

This should be addressed promptly! I love my car... haven't had a problem with it (knock on wood), but should I encounter an accident or fire from this line, and survive, I may look elsewhere as well.

The crazy thing, Joe, is that you survived one calamity to be left with a potential other without a clear fix. Smh...

It is my understanding that my R is not part of the current recall. However, it pretty much parked until warmer weather.

Edit: Very Lucky and Very Blessed.
