I need some help. I’m hearing a metallic rattle sound and it seems to be coming from my newly installed supercharger.
It drives fine and builds boost, but it’s also on a base base map and all of the boost the supercharger generates is being expelled back into the engine bay.
It’s a used kit (with allegedly 6k km on it), the supercharger oil is filled, and everything seems tightened up and no other metal seems to be touching.
I attached a couple comparison videos with similar builds and they also seem to have this rattle (but milder). Mine is the first car in the video.
I'm wondering if it's something I should be concerned about or if a properly dialed-in tune will somehow magically lower this rattling I hear.
