November 2018 Mustang Sales

4924 sales in October and 4907 in November show sales are flat. Year over year sales show that the auto industry as a whole is down all vehicle sales are down it's just that more people are buying suv's than cars. Anyone else notice how much cops like the Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) that's all you see around here.

Here in Calif. we see almost as many Chargers as PIU Exploders, especially CHP. I had thought that they had pretty much decided to go 100% PIU, guess they were getting out run on I-5 or something. All the LEOs I've talked to wanted one, or love their Ford PIU because of the extra room for them and their stuff. Getting in and out of it is way easier than a 4 door sedan.

The numbers are for all new Mustangs sold even if it was a left over 17 model.

I believe this is the second straight month the Chally has beat the Stang.

You wanna see a car that's literally tanking in sales? The Dodge Viper. Holy pitiful batman! They sold 85 Vipers May of 2017. They sold 3, yes 3!!!!!! May of 2018.

Well, sales are trending toward SUVs, and when you look at the size and weight of a Challenger, it's pretty much there

I got a Charger R/T as a rental for work this week with the "Super Track Pak" option, which includes an upgraded suspension, configurable sport mode, and the hood with the big center scoop. Honestly, I like it FAR more than I expected to. Yes it's big. Yes it's heavy and nowhere near as fast or agile as my Mustang. That said, it's a quick car. It has a fantastic OEM exhaust as of 2017MY. The seats have great bolstering and are comfortable at the same time. The gauges and features are mildly gimmicky, but you can see all the important gauges (oil P and T, engine coolant T, trans T, IAT, HP, Torque, etc.). The transmission is the ZF 8 speed, and it's calibrated very well. The engine and TCS/SC in sport mode are very responsive and fun. Honestly, I get it. For a guy/gal who wants a fun car but needs family-ability, it's pretty great. I can't imagine what the 392 Scat Pack is like. I prefer the Charger to the Challenger for a variety of reasons, though the big downer is no manual.

Do I want one over my 'stang? No way. I sure do get why they sell and why people like them, though, and I admire Dodge in the respect that they know who they are and what they want to be with their cars.

Car sales are sliding across the board with all brands. GM is a perfect example of how companies are realigning for the current and future markets, ie.. shutting plants, moving jobs etc. Others are about to follow suit.

Yep I’ve seen it once a week or two ago but haven’t seen it since but I don’t watch regular tv much.
