To be effective a 5/6pts need to go through the seat at your crotch level.
Going over the front of the seat is pretty useless

I agree. I just finished installing the Watson lightweight roll cage into the car yesterday. The color of my old 4pt Profi II ASM is red. I can't do it. Now I have to plop $750 smacks down for another set of black harnesses.
want to sell the red ones?

I just installed the Schroth quick fit pro. It is easy except for removing the side plastic panel. I spent a lot of time trying to get back in and lined up right.

maybe, Im still undecided whether I will put the other cage I have in one of the other Rs. You can use them for Daytona if that helps you/.

isn't it a bad idea to have a 5 point in a car without a complete roll cage? When I was looking the anti-submarine strap prevented you from diving and could be bad in a roll over.

A good video about harnesses. The title is discouraging though.

It’s a possibility but being firmly held in place allow you to feel the car and drive much better therefore helping to avoid a crash in the first place

Technically everything is bad in a rollover... :)
I have seen 4 rollovers in my life on track - one had 4pt, one had 5pt - one was a s197 Roush the other was a recent gen Camaro... both guys were fine and said it was "weird hanging from the ceiling" after - but they both felt it was better than slumping out of the stock 3pt and being who knows where in the car.
TBH - I think modern cars with airbags EVERYWHERE probally hardly need the harness casue thye are gonna suspend you in the middle... but I do like it so I can wear a HANS and feel like I'm being safer :)

Just opinions and observations ^^

Yes, the roof structure in cars these days is much stronger than the past. Airbags are a plus. I will say that I feel much better in a harness and having a roll cage in the unlikely event that the roof did cave. If that were to happen, and you were strapped into a harness, you probably would be dead of a broken neck.

Despite the weight addition, I added a 4pt cage into the 500. It is a Watson special order that weighs only 40 pounds that I spec'd and offered a group buy here on this forum. The stock Mandrel steel cage is 70 pounds. I got most of the way through installing the harnesses today and hope to finish tomorrow.

I remember seeing a photo of a rollover of a '15R. I still have the photo. It was a shame, but the driver did have a 4pt cage in and based upon the photo, I am convinced that cage saved his life. I see him every year at Daytona. He is a heck of a driver.

Do you have to REMOVE the FRONT SEAT & the SIDE PANEL to mount the seatbelt Anker? Where do you mount the seatbelt Anker?
