Hey guys, so today I finally had my VMP gen 3 are supercharger installed. From the outside of the car even with the hood wide open, when you hit the gas, you don't hear any whine in the supercharger at all. I believe I have an 88 mm pulley on right now which is the biggest they recommend for 93.
My question is for you guys who have used the Foster foster sound tube, will this produce whine even if you can't hear it from the outside of the car? Or would I need a smaller pulley even with the mod

sound tube mod is only for inside the car nothing outside will increase, and since you already stated that, it should produce whine inside the car.

Buddy just did one on his 5.0 F150 and it has no loud whine present from outside. He can hear it inside but all you hear outside is ~550 hp pushing through stock exhaust.

Thanks alot brothers , exactly what I was hoping to hear . I was afraid that if you couldnt even hear it present at all outside before the soundtine mod that you wouldn't hear it inside either after.

FWIW that truck made 655 rwhp today on the supplied pulley on 93 octane. You should have a beast when properly tuned.

If you wanted wine to go with the cheese . You should have gone with a procharger, just saying .

Prochargers don’t wine at all.
You are probably not going to hear any whine at all. You probably need a smaller pulley.

Hijacking this thread. Has anyone installed the the Foster kit, but instead of plumbing the tube to the firewall, just installing the filter directly onto the elbow as it comes out of the intake? I’m thinking this would allow whine in the engine bay where it might be audible from outside the car. Any thoughts or experience?
