I really appreciate this update as we will be driving top down hopefully.
Maybe I'll bring a parka! LOL:lol:
I just checked the poll of Mustang types, colors, etc.
Surprised to only see two DIB (& 2 V6's ;))
And only 4 convertibles, wow.

Soberanes Fire

So the Soberanes fire does not appear to be an issue for our Sunday Drive thru Carmel and down Hwy 1 past Big Sur, is that correct?

Last report I could find was from 5:00pm Friday. It showed fire moving south east, but not moving any further west than it had been for a few days already.

I'm guessing we are good to go for tomorrow (Sunday) on that stretch of Hwy 1. N. of Big Sur.

We did the Cambria to Carmel drive this evening. Solid 2:40 minutes. No fire issues. Fog an much cooler up here. Just for fun we counted all the Mustangs we passed at fifty four. That's a lot of rental verts!

Huge thanks to you and all the others who helped put this very well organized trip together. Julie and I had a lot of fun. We look forward to possibly joining Kona/Michell, Tysec/Ty and others for the late August Lake Tahoe Sat/Sun. cruz.

Made it home again! As usual, going through the LA traffic was the worst and slowest part of the trip.

Thanks to Dennis and the Socal6G fellas and ladies. It was a pleasure to meet everybody and got our goal with 100 plus cars. Hope everyone had a great time even with the amount of cars we had. Hope everyone got home safely and hope to do this again in the future.
