Didn't they say when it came out in 2015/2016 it was going to be a limited thing, and people were shocked they are still doing them 6 years later?

Probably a good thing, lots of 350s taking a long time to move off the lots. It's the 500's turn to sell.

As many people know the Ford family happens to own the very first new generation R model namely chassis number "F0001" which is a 2015 Base R model.

When Bill Ford requested to own the very last 2020 R model sometime last Fall it certainly sent a clear signal to me that this would be the very last year for R model production.

In addition the very last 2020 R model that will be built for Mr. Ford will come with the HEP option which will include numerous cool features that will separate his HEP optioned R from the rest of us.

i was told a long time ago that it would end in 2020 because that was the length of the extended licensing deal. Later in the year, there was a chance that the GT350s would continue in a form similar to the PP2 where you had to order one directly from a dealer and all cars would be made per that purchasing process. But that latter deal obviously did not come to fruition. So we have defaulted to plan A, the end of the GT350 run.

From what PP0001 has informed, Bill Ford’s HEP optioned car will consist of Painted stripes instead of vinyl and Guardsman blue seat bolsters and stitching as well as Guardsman blue painted calipers (red on the standard HEP R cars). PP0001 will be able to correct/add anything I missed.

Oh man, I was ready to buy a Raptor but this is making me rethink it. I can still get a '20 GT350 in Kona blue equipped exactly the way I want.

We have been speculating since the first 350. Everyone speculated it was going to be a 3 yr run, lol. So it is my opinion that the 350 has run its course.
