I’m looking at the wheel and tire package at LMR for the SVE R350 with the Nitto NT555 G2 in 285/35/19. What’s the opinion on these tires and do they run wide or arrow? I just want to make Sure they don’t look stretched and I have some rim protection with the sidewalls.

285 would probably fit nicely on a 19x10, there's almost no rim protection on my 20x10s with a 275/35.

They aren't magical tires in my experience and I can spin for a bit off the line and chirp the 1-2 shift in my V6 so if you're pushing more than 300hp/tq, I don't know how great they'd be.

They’d be used for daily driving on my EcoBoost which will be tuned sometime later this year.

I don't know any serious users who have good opinions of those tires. They're not the grippiest, but depending on your needs might be ok. Personally I don't want to be stuck with a tire for 20k miles if its not a good one.

Better off with a Firehawk Indy 500 if you want a cheaper tire.

What would be better tires for the money other than the Nittos?

Firehawk Indy’s and what else?

The Confinental ExtremeContact Sport is a fantastic tire and it looks to cost about the same as that Nitto. I’d highly recommend the EC Sport over the 555 G2, its a lot newer technology, will grip better, good in the rain, and same price (or really close)

FWIW a guy on those continentals was putting down faster times at a local autox than I was on (well) worn RE71Rs. I was kind of astonished. Thats just not supposed to happen. Kid was punching well above his weight class.

No the DWS is their all-season tire. Look for the ExtremeContact Sport (TireRack has then)
