Update:

Air was chilly for Maui 69* DA 950 feet which is low for us. First pass I nailed it off the line .02 RT ( the bracket racer in me!) and completely blew the tires off like I was still in the water box. Didn't get full throttle till 3rd gear and ran 13.42@126 60 foot 2.48 LOL

2nd pass I rolled into the throttle 1.90 60 foot, had to peddle it twice to control spin and ran 11.74@128. I was racing a hellcat he ran 10.88@126

Rains wouldn't stop after that so I only got 2 passes. Had a blast in the car. These tires 555R are a great street DR but as I expected not so great at the track. This car is not my track car so I wont be buying a drag setup for it. My friend has a Demon and was hoping to get a race with him but sadly it didnt happen. Not that I had a chance he was running 10.20@134 totally stock except for tires.

Good update. Did you get the 555R’s hot enough? They need good wheel speed during the burnout and a good 8-10 seconds for best results. 17-18psi COLD (45-80°F)
I’ve cut 1.4-1.5’s on many different sizes of 555R’s in the past 15 years.

Oh yeah I had a great burn out. A friend shot video of my 1st pass too but i haven't received it yet. Tires were 21 psi....i know too much. Was ready to lower it then the skies unloaded on us.

Yeah. 21psi cold, could be as much as 24psi hot. As soon as they get over 22psi hot, they lose about 25-30% adhesion.

Got my best 60' & ET while running 32 psi with my nt05R's any lower psi made it worse. Big burnout, minimal burnout didn't matter. Then I got a much better 60' & ET with my Firestone Firehawk INDY 500's @ 32 psi Frankly, NITTO sucks, at least at our track. But then again I'm running 19's & no supercharger haha.

Here is the video from my first pass. The burnout was the only good thing about this run! LOL. You can see the car get outta shape shortly after I launched. The Fox I'm racing is my good friends car. He completely built it. Runs 10.2s. I cut a .02 light, he redlit -.009 LOL. Good times with friends is what its all about!
